Valentine’s Day is coming this week. We’ve been bombarded by all the red hearts and red roses and boxes of chocolate which are the traditional Valentine’s gifts. We’re conditioned to believe that we need to have a romantic partner or we can’t enjoy Valentine’s Day.
True love really begins at home. Home is you. Home is me. Home is ourselves. So instead of feeling sad, or angry, or depressed because there isn’t a “special someone” in your life, I’m going to ask you to think about it differently. You ARE the special someone in your life. I want to encourage you to think about how to show love to yourself.
Think about those things you love to do. Is it a walk on the beach? (That’s one of mine.) Is it finding a good book and spending a day in your jammies and reading? Is it binge watching a show you’ve been wanting to get to? Is it spending time on a hobby? Is it getting your nails done? Is it sleeping in one day a month? Those little indulgences are really ways for us to show love for ourselves. It isn’t selfish, but necessary.
On February 14th, what is one thing you can do to express your love of self? I’m thinking I just might work on a quilt pattern I bought of a diamond heart.
As we continue to explore love this month, we are offering a promotion all our three love stones jewelry as our February special. Rose Quartz, Rhodonite and Rhodochrosite are the three love stones. Starting with Rhodonite, which is thought to be helpful in developing balance between your internal and external lives. Its vibration is said to encourage selflessness and stimulate a desire to help others. Keep rhodonite with you to help you have unconditional love towards others.
Rose Quartz is the Heart Stone of unconditional love and love for oneself. Rhodochrosite is also for self- love and healing love. Maybe your act of self-love is to get yourself one (or more) of these beautiful crystal jewelry pieces?
With loving intention,
